Yea...that is where I have been all day today (Sunday)...the Southern most point of the US--Key West, Florida!
Let me start off by saying yesterday was our first time on the cruise ship....we set sail last night around 5pm. We had our first dinner onboard...and then the boys and I saw Step Up 3 (3D) in the Disney Movie Theater!!! Which was way cool!
Woke up late this morning (didn't arrive in Key West until noon)...isn't that what being on vacation is all about? The boys and I ran the track around the cruise ship for 3 miles (3 times around equals 1 mile). That was really cool....but had a little vertigo for awhile after. Think about it--I was doubly moving!
Kenna got her hair braided, new princess dresses and a major meltdown all before lunch...sounds like a typical day huh? We walked out to Key West to start our journey at about 1pm....
Guess where we headed first? Fort Zachary Taylor....of course! Couldn't miss that photo op! So of course I put my Zachary Taylor next to the sign that said President Zachary Taylor, and snapped a few images...of course I did! We also did a little geocaching at the park....
When we got back to Duval Street (after walking for an hour--don't ask!) I found the coolest store--a place called Bath Junkie! I am in love with this store....you can make your own fragrance and use it for cologne, lotion, bath crystals, wipes, bath scrub, shampoo--you name it, they got it! And you can create your OWN scent! What a concept! I met the owner/CEO of the franchise down there---and she was trying to get me to start one up there in Ohio (which there is none currently). Hmmm--maybe....
So, after I got my bath on...we all walked over to Cowboy Bills restaurant (and place to watch the football games)...and we had the most delicious mexican food that I can remember...(either that or I was seriously hungry)!
We took in the Sunset Festival right by the boat and then headed back on the ship....for some RELAXATION and cookies--(they bring them to your suite at night!)!!
And right now, I am sitting down on a comfy chair on the ocean drinking a Mai Tai in my room and watching a movie....all while chatting with you! Can't beat that....
So when I go to bed tonight, I will be in the USA and when I wake up, I won't be....I will be a foreigner!
Can't wait until I go international....
